Weaning can be such an exciting milestone in a child’s life. For the parent, it requires patience, time, and a little creativity. I remember as a first time mom, taking the challenge head on! I purchased a number of products marketed to 6 month olds. Some products I loved and used again with our next child, and some products I realized were not necessary for what I needed. My Experience
Many dishes marketed to children are made of plastic, so this platter grabbed my attention right from the start. Lately I have been skeptical about serving hot food on plastic dishes, especially ones advertised as not being dishwasher or microwave safe. Chemicals can leak into hot food if in contact for an amount of time. That’s a scary thought! So I felt like having a stainless steel dish put my little ones in good hands. Up until now I had been used to plates with two or three sections, so having five separate sections had me looking for more finger food to add to baby’s platter. I noticed that the boys are more likely to try something new if they have more of a variety in front of them.

Pros

•This platter is not microwave safe, although it’s probably best to avoid using microwaves either way

Notes/Tips on the Product
•Hand wash the top lid. It’ll last longer and takes seconds to do. If you’ve ever put plastic tupperware in the dishwasher (which is probably not a great idea), you may have noticed a slight change in shape, or possible melting if you put it in the bottom rack. If you must place it in the dishwasher, use the top rack.
•When serving hot food, double check the temperature before serving
